Why Toby exists

Built for one joiner. Then the rest of us.

Joe makes fitted furniture, and the making has always been the part he enjoys. The harder part is staying on top of customers and jobs while he’s in the workshop or out on site, with most of it carried around in his head.

Chloe builds software for a living, and she could see the tools she relied on at a desk were never going to fit the way Joe works. So she helped him build one that does.

Why do you take a card before the trial ends?

Only so that day 15 is seamless if you decide to stay. Every plan starts with a 14 day free trial with full access. We’ll remind you 7 days before anything is charged, and if you cancel before day 14 you pay nothing at all.

Do I have to type anything?

No. Toby is voice-first. Record a quick voice note between jobs and it does the writing for you. You see the transcript and can check it before anything is saved, so you stay in control. Typing is there if you prefer it.

Where does my customer data live? Is it private?

In the United Kingdom, on Google Cloud in the London region. We don’t sell it or use it for advertising. Some AI processing happens in the United States under contract. You can export or delete everything whenever you like. See our privacy policy

Does it replace my invoicing app?

No. Keep Jobber, QuickBooks or whatever you invoice with. Those are paperwork tools. Toby is the memory layer: it remembers what customers said, files it against the right job, and surfaces your chase-ups when they’re due, so nothing slips between jobs.

How does the AI allowance work?

Everyday things barely touch it: filing emails, voice notes, actions, briefings and wrap-ups all use a little. Longer back-and-forth chats with Toby use it faster. Most people never get near their allowance, and if you do, the AI features pause until your next month starts while your emails and notes keep coming in.

How do I cancel?

Whenever you like, from your account page on the web. There’s no contract and no notice period. You won’t be charged again, and you keep access until the end of the time you’ve already paid for. Manage your account
